Dr. Kim Raffin has been the Director of Music at St. Dennis since 1990.  

Background: Dr. Kim Raffin's initial musical training was with the Calgary Boys' Choir, an experience which instilled and nurtured his deep love of music.  A lyric baritone, he can frequently be heard in concert around the Calgary area. When not performing, Kim operates a Chartered Professional Accounting practice where he specializes in assisting entrepreneurs with their accounting and taxation needs associated with their small to medium-sized enterprises.

Favorite Music: Various classical genres ranging from Beethoven's Piano Sonatas to 19th-Century Italian Grand Opera.

Outside his work at St. Dennis, Kim enjoys cheering on the Flames and Stampeders, golfing, restoring vintage automobiles, gardening, and spending as much time as possible with his family, especially his Grandchildren. 


Organist - Carlos Foggin

Carlos Foggin joined the music team at St. Dennis in 2008.  He was engaged to prepared the choir for their European Tour in Fall 2008, and just never left!  In 2016, he was named a Fellow of the Royal Canadian College of Organists.  His specialization is Liturgical Organ Improvisation in the Latin Rite.  Published in various journals, he regularly gives lecture-recitals on this topic.

Background:  Mr. Foggin is the Artistic & Music Director of the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra.  Winner of 20+ awards for performance and composition, Mr. Foggin began his serious musical study of the piano at age 8 with Professor Glen Montgomery at the University of Lethbridge. Later studies include Organ Performance (studying with Neil Cockburn) and Orchestral Conducting at the University of Calgary. 

When not performing or teaching, Mr. Foggin enjoys relaxing at home or the family farm, gardening, cooking for family and friends, and fly-fishing in the world-class streams in the Calgary area.
