Director of Music - Dr. Kim Raffin
Dr. Kim Raffin has been the Director of Music at St. Dennis since 1990.
Background: Dr. Kim Raffin's initial musical training was with the Calgary Boys' Choir, an experience which instilled and nurtured his deep love of music. A lyric baritone, he can frequently be heard in concert around the Calgary area. When not performing, Kim operates a Chartered Professional Accounting practice where he specializes in assisting entrepreneurs with their accounting and taxation needs associated with their small to medium-sized enterprises.
Favorite Music: Various classical genres ranging from Beethoven's Piano Sonatas to 19th-Century Italian Grand Opera.
Outside his work with the St. Dennis Choirs, Kim enjoys cheering on the Flames and Stampeders, golfing, restoring vintage automobiles, gardening, and spending as much time as possible with his family, especially his three adorable Grandchildren.
Organist - Carlos Foggin
Carlos Foggin has been the Organist at St. Dennis since 2008. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists (2016)
Background: Winner of 20+ awards for performance and composition, Mr. Foggin began his serious musical study of the piano at age 8 with Professor Glen Montgomery at the University of Lethbridge. Later studies include Organ Performance and Conducting at the University of Calgary. Outside his work at St. Dennis, Mr. Foggin is the Music Director of the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra.
Favorite Composer & Work: J.S. Bach - the Mass in B-minor
When not playing music, Mr. Foggin enjoys relaxing at his family farm, umpiring baseball from little league to NCAA, riding motorcycles, and playing MarioKart with his nieces and nephews.
